Gyldenhul Barrow

[Wrangler]

I have a miscellaneous quest item that I must have over looked, telling me to Search for the Treasure of Harknir Death-Brand. Unfortunately, there is no indicator on my map (yes. miscellaneous and the Seach task is highlighted) to provide any idea where to search or even begin searching. I know through a google search that the treasure resides in Gyldenhul Barrow (also not on the map). I do not want a cheat. I just want some basic information.

First, where is Gyldenhul Barrow - I'm running enough MODS to make locating the landmass shown via google confusing.

Second, did I miss a book or something that would have provided me with clues to where this treasure is located?

I managed to figure this out for myself. The primary question I was asking was where Gyldenhul Barrow was. Answer: Solstheim. Once I was there I found the shape of the landmass pretty easily. I'm sure everything else will fall into place.

No indicator for quest until pass that level mention and need map.
Thought you would have know about it on Solstheim, but it starts on an island as well.

Im at level 62. There was still no indicator

Go to camp site on little island not far north from the nord village.
If you kill the bandits earlier *before that certain level, then this quest will not show. Should if you go back there and kill pirates.
I did everything on the island but couldn't open barrow before I found out I had to level up some more, (went away and did other quests and came back to it) you shouldn't have any problems with it. No know glitches with this quest.
Can't remember if reading the book starts it as well.

Unfortunatley I wandred the island quite a bit and likely killed the bandits when I was exploring for fun. I also moved to and from the island at least twice so the book is probably stored on a shelf in one of my home (I Have several now). Would you know the name of the book offhand?

Death-Brand is its name
Island is small with camp site near the barrow thats where the first treasure chest is located.
Book - Should be one in the manor at Raven Rock(mine you I found several of them)

Ok, thanks. I'll check my homes and see where I put the book. I'm surprised that the game would allow me to shelf it when its part of a quest.

Actually I think its when you go to that small strip of land off the coast and kill the pirates there, should be a chest they have dug up, open it and should open quest.

Really? Great, seaching through several homes and my dovaken fortress (has tons of stuff there - dozens of books) would get old real fast.
