C:\.......\Documents\My Games\Skyrim\Saves
save whereisthissavestored
or any unique name you want. then try to find where that file is C:...\Saves or D:...\Saves or somewhere else. since you are not using the default location, the program is reading the Skyrim.ini file and storing files wherever SLocalSavePath is set to.
Word, Excel etc. has no problems locating the new My D0cuments.
The game, afaik, only knows the path to the c: drive so you really need your My Documents residing on the C: drive for everything to work as expected.
The real path is something like:
C:\Users\#User#\Documents\My Games\Skyrim\Saves - here you can add or backup your save games to and from without a hitch.
The strange thing is that the game creates the saves (in prompt) but dosn't see them afterwards.
I resorted to reinstalling and then I'll see if I can get the saves back but restoring the backup of the folder.
I'll update later.
[EDIT]
The reinstall of game didn't help. I saw something new though. Once the game was reinstalled I started it, but once pressing Play (after the load screen), the game just didn't start.
I'll update later (just needs to download the game again).
Took me about 11 hours to do that with the update included - hope you've got a better ISP than I had back then. Good luck sorting this out. :-)
