Strange Neckseam [Please Help]
Recently when making female characters I get a strange gap between the neck and the body. I posted an image below to show what I mean. Any help would be appreciated.

If you look you can clearly see the gap right where the "head" part ends and the "torso" begins.

If you type nexus neck seam fix into google you will get straight to a mod that may fix it for you.
But you should look up details for the body mod you are using as there are different ways that each body type fixes seams .

I've tried that, but my issue is that the meshes don't connect for some reason, and not a texture issue. If I edit neck size in the racemenu, it's normal for about a split second before going back to looking like I was a survivor of a decapitation.

this drove me berserk for the longest time, turns out I had a combo of skin texture mods that worked, but only on characters already created, new ones always had this issue.
My advice would be to remove all your skin textures but your most favorite and then try a new import into CK, or NifMerge or whatever you're using

Can't I just install a new skin texture? I have no clue how to do those import things. Everything was done in-game with racemenu.

So, after trying several fixes, including the ones mentioned here (as best as I could), the problem persisted. But only with the player character. So, I found what is probably the world's simplest fix.

Wearing a choker!

In racemenu have you adjusted the weight slider, cos some body types set that at Full and if you have it even at 99% that reduces the body from the head!

The ones I'm using are known for being the best
http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/2666/? Or use Caliente's Beautiful Bodies Edition -CBBE- by Caliente

BodySlide 2 and Outfit Studio by Caliente this allows you adjust anything if you understand it ...

Lots of reading there or wear the choker!

Well, I can't switch to CBBE as I already have UNP... and several mods that rely on it

Most the time changing the weight does fix it. What UNP skin texture do you have? Have you got this mod?

Try downloading a normal map for unp skin textures and install it over your stuff. I use Women of Skyrim female normal maps

After trying countless fixes on and off for MONTHS, I found one that works like a charm! All my newly created female characters except Argonian, Khajiit, custom races like Epic Elves and Ningheim had this gap like a missing part of their neck. Open console, target your character, type setnpcweight 101 and presto! Any value over 100 gets rid of it. I have no idea what is causing it. Hopefully somebody who understand the mods can figure it out. I even tried all sorts of texture and mesh fixes, but this is the only one that worked.

Thanks, I'll keep it in mind and try it.
