lol, what? scripting error? No, it's not. CBBE doesn't really touch on the faces of characters, it's mostly just the body.
@OP The second link you gave should have worked. If you actually want the NPCs to look like babyface anime girls though. Or try Bella Females or Coverwomen. If you still find the NPCs faces look ugly then it's something wrong with your install
- I am using SG Female Textures Renewal. As a RaceMenu user, I extracted meshes from ECE and made a mod out of them. I haven't found anything worth of complaining. I was previously using Navatsea's outstanding work, but those textures are not really compatible with current version of CBBE.
- If you are still displeased, then you might wish to share some screenshots with us to point out the problems. We might get better idea for what you are after, if you show us what you already got.
I use two things to improve my face textures:
SG Female Texture Renewal
http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/35267/?
and
XCE: Xenius Character Enhancement
http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/2356/?
Place xce.esp at the very bottom of your load order, unless you use a Bash Patch, in which case the Batch Patch goes last. This will not remove all dirt, but it will remove or mute the colors of most dirty faces to make them more palatable. As far as I know, the only other way to change or remove Overlays, Make-up, Warpaint or Dirt on an NPC is with the Creation Kit or using an NPC overhaul mod like Skyrim Beautiful Followers.
You are correct. I have made separate mods from several other mods and resources. I checked CBBE resources from MO before replying, but didn't think that the were so far customized. My custom CBBE setup affects to selected NPCs as well.
I haven't really cleaned many faces from dirt. I have made few cleanups for characters and included the data to separate mod. Dirt on their faces is fine and gives character, but becomes a bit strange if they are living in a mansion with my character. I add the cleaned data to MO, when NPCs stop running around Skyrim.
About textures, your the one who pointed them out, so I just told you what I am using instead. No need to shout.
