No Stone Unturned - Become a full member of the thieves guild

So, I got all of the 24 Unnusual Gems and I became the guild master after completing the questline for the Thieves Guild. I also completed all 4 special jobs in Solitude, Windhelm, Markath and Whiterun.

Now I must recover the crown for Vex, but I still have the objective "Become a full member of the Thieves Guild" not completed. Do I need to get the crown first or what ?

That's strange, did you complete the guild master event inside the thieves guild? Have you traded your thieve's armor for guild master's armor?

I know there was a converstation during the recovery and restoring of the skeleton key that said you're the guild master but that is just him saying he don't want the job and it's yours. You still have to do more to become the official guild master.

Unless you have a very strange glitch where you joined the thieves guild but didn't flag that quest.

Do you have the mod Theieves Guild Redone?

I actually had a problem were evreytime i entered ( After already talking to brynoulf in the market place and he invited me to find the raggod flagon) they all attacked me every time no matter what soultion.

Or any other mod that messes with the theieves guild for that matter .

That's a bug but glad you got it sorted out. The crown has nothing to do with becoming a full member but unfortunately if you talk to Vex at the wrong time (early) it shows up in your journal.

Completing Taking Care of Business and talking to Mercer Frey who will prompt another quest and then getting your Thieves Guild Armor fullfills that achievement.

It's likely they did it this way because the crown is optional and you can talk to Vex about the jewel without becoming a member -- but didn't fix the journal entry if you are a member.

So the quest you are fulling/have fullfilled is No Stone Unturned.
