Blacklisted from Nexusmods
Are you serious? So I woke up today to find that I'm now blacklisted from nexusmods with no reason provided. The only reason I could think of is that I tried to make a second account; nexusmods doesn't allow username changes because "waaaa waaa it would be so much wooork for the admiiinsss", stupid ♥♥♥♥, so I decided to just make a new account. It got banned. Then I got blacklisted.

I don't even know why I'm typing this out. I'm just really ♥♥♥♥ed off. I can't get any mods, not only for skyrim, but for all the other games that use nexus mods. That is some serious ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. I looked up being blacklisted from the nexus and apparently what happened to me isn't even a rare case of an extreme reaction by the admins. I can't even go on the website to beg forgiveness for the great sin of creating a second account. I can't even argue. I can't do anything about it.

The worst part about this whole thing though: The only reason I wanted to change my username and make a new account IS SO I COULD BE MORE ACTIVE ON THE WEBSITE.

how does changing your name mean you will be more active? Sounds to me like you should've just stuck with the name.

I didn't like my old name. I'm notorious for making really crappy usernames, and I found my old one embarassing. I didn't think it would be a huge problem to change my name or something worthy of a blacklist.

I found this statement on a forum topic regarding being blacklisted read it carefully

"Sounds like your ISP changes its IP address quite regularly, and some of the IPs in the rotation are in in our blacklist. IPs usually get in our blacklist because someone who used the IP you're using, at some point, did something that warranted being blacklisted (normally making multiple accounts to circumvent bans)"

Ah well did you try messaging an admin to have your name changed? also a name doesn't make you more or less an active member of a community. Most places don't want you having multiple accounts, hence the ban and blacklist, seems harsh to me. But had you stuck with you original name, you wouldn't be in this mess, so it's kinda on you.

So if you're banned you're suppose to just never have an account again? Also, my original account wasn't banned. They were both banned after I made a second account.

Also this standard procedure has been around for a very long time. Should've read the terms and conditions carefully instead of making names left and right also should've put more thought into your name and just stick with it

The reasoning behind the whole not having multiple accounts is to prevent hacking and other illegal activity and also not following the rules just like everyone else

that'd be the point of a ban, ie not being able to be on their site. Making a new account would defeat that purpose, and you said your second account was the one that got banned, and that your first was the one that got blacklisted. Again it's on you because you decided to make a new account, you should've messaged an admin to see if you could get a name change.

then that's the problem right there you made two multiple accounts both with the same IP and same information just a different username you should've read the fine print instead of making another account if you don't like your username then to bad

what i am trying to say is you broke the rules and now you are getting your just and fair punishment

look on the bright side, at least you have the workshop for mods.

Like I tried to explain with my first response, I know changing your name doesn't make you a more or less active member in itself. But in my case, I just wanted to change my name because I didn't like my old one and didn't want to post with it.

Besides that, I looked up changing your username before I made a new account and people were basically saying you have to have a really good reason or they wont do it.

Nah ♥♥♥♥ that. I'm just going to have to use a vpn now, as I have been today, and it's a pain in the ass. At least it works most of the time.

I still think this is totally ridiculous.

*facepalm* did you read your own statements?!

"I just wanted to change my name because I didn't like my old one and didn't want to post with it".

You need a damn good legit reason for the admins to change your username, this isn't really the best of reasons and that's why you got banned in the first place

That's why I decided to just make a new account instead of trying to convince them to change my name. Apparently that's a huge problem.

and there you have it, the reason WHY you should've just stuck with your original username and not gone through all of this mess so just like what BloodravenD said this is your own fault and you got no one else to blame but yourself
