Nexus Mod Manager Won't Launch

Alright I've been dealing with this issue for a while now, so obviously I've done some digging and it seems as if my problerm has never happend to else. Anyway, hopefully you guys could help me out.

So let me tell you exactly what happens - I click NMM, nothing happens. I've tried looking up how to fix this, but anything I read about NMM not opening just isn't like my problem. Either it's a connection problem, or it acts like it's launching then doesn't; not at all like mine.

Obviously I've tried to use the other solutions, but they didn't work. At first I thought it was because I tried to install 64 bit Java for something, so I just reinstalled java normally. But that didn't work, so clearly it's something else.

Things I have tried:

-going into user.config
-running it as administrator
-deleting a file in skyrim's folders
-reinstalling Java

That's about it guys, hopefully you could help me out here.

I found one 'fix' for me that didn't last long, but I guess can't use the new version of NMM so I downgraded. But I can't login into downgraded verions, 'which is a horrible design choice from my opinion'. Anyway, still would appreicate the some help.

Fixed some disgusting grammar issues, also I haven't had this problem in a long time. I mentioned this in the comments, but it might have gone unnoticed.

But for me it seemed like it must've been something on my computer at the time, because when I did a fresh install it worked perfectly fine. So if the problem is that bad - try finding the thing that's causing it, or in extreme cases wipe your ♥♥♥♥ing HDD or SSD.

That's what ended up working for me, and there is probably a way better solution in the comments so go look for that.

This worked for me:

Uninstall NMM using the uninstaller that came with it and when it asks you if you want to delete your config settings, say yes.

Reinstall it and you should still have all your mods and it should work now.

I had the same problem. so i uninstalled nexus mod manager. and inactivated all my mods from the vanilla way to open skyrim on (steam for me) and it worked. Btw nice Picture of holo/horo. great anime!

I know exactly how to fix this problem. I went looking myself and figured it out. all you have to do is right click the installer, then go to properties, it should say that it may be blocked for security reasons or whatever, click unblock, and then apply, leave properties and it should worked. This problem happened to me and this fixed it.

I have this problem as of today... I played yesterday and everything worked.
I want to start it up today and nothing happens. Tried to uninstall, didn't work. Tried as administrator, didn't work. :/

UPDATE: I tried a few fixes and the one that worked was uninstalling with all the config settings.

i had this problem too and this is how i fixed it. the first thing you should do is try to launch it, nothing will happen, then type nexus mod manager into your search bar and launch the installer. select your language and it should give you an error like this "setup has detected that nexus mod manager is currently running. please close all instances of it now, then click OK to continue or Cancel to exit". if it gives you something different you have a different problem then mine and shouldn't even bother continuing. after you get the error close out of all the dialog boxes and hit ctrl shift esc to open task manager. then open the processes tab and click on where it says image name. that should sort the processes alphabetically. now just look for any process that says nexus mod manager right lick on it and click "end process". after all the nexus mod manager processes have been ended just launch and you should be good to go. let me now if that helps!

You know, I have the exact same problem, and I am on the newest version of NMM. I have re-installed it twice now to see if it would help, and nothing helped. Adding to that this is the first thing I have found that is close to the problem I am having. I click directly in the directory, to the NMM program, and even run as admin, and it just doesn't do a single thing. :\

What I found worked best was a combination of fixes I found in a few minutes of google-hunting.

Firstly, locate where you mods are stored within the NMM directory and delete your recently installed mods (one of them may have broken your version of NMM temp. i.e. Interesting NPC's)

Secondly, locate your Install Info folder within Skyrim folder within your NMM directory and remove all .xml log files within the Skyrim folder. (DO NOT DELETE 'overwrites' and 'mod' folder)

Thirdly, locate your uninstall folder within your NMM directory and launch the 'uninstall' application.

Lastly, re-download and install NMM from the Nexus. Your NMM will launch and begin to search your computer for installed games!

If you people are still having problem then go to <My Documents> then click <Nexus Mod Manager> then delete all <TraceLog.txt> files. Then try to launch the program again & if it's still not working then go to <Program Files> (not <Program Files (x86)>) click <Nexus Mod Manager> click <uninstall>. In the Uninstall Launcher it'll ask you the usual "Yes or No" questions. Click "Yes" to everything. Then reinstall the Mod Manager then hopefully, just hopefully your problem is fixed.

My Nexus Mod Manager did not start aswell, but it showed it on task manager so i did this :
I located my Nexus Client app data and deleted a user.config file which can be found here : C:\Users\YOUR OWN COMPUTER USER NAME(CHANGE THIS!!!!)\AppData\Local\Black_Tree_Gaming\NexusClient.exe_Url_2eir2d35cqbpwgw1etv4i5pyvaneja0r
There you will end up in a folder with bunch of folders which have numbers only. Those are versions of NMM
Klick the latest version and delete the user.config file in there and you will be fine.

The Nexus Mod Manager is broken right now 9:15 am pacifc... i can get into my nexus page, but it fails to update. tried to get the nexus mod manager website and fails to show up.
