Dark Brotherhhood *secret* in the skyrim vanilla game!*spoiler if u havent completed the db questline*)
ok If this is already known plz let me know an i'll take this down but so far I haven't heard or seen this before. OK so after you just about complete the dark brotherhood main questline when you move into the new Sanctuary in Dawnstar, wait a few days and go back to the original DB sanctuary go inside the building walk to the left to the room there you will find Astrid's cripsy corpse still laying there dead. Now I didn't discover this till months after I finished the questline Anyhow equip and cast the "Reanimate" conjuration spell on Astrids burnt crispy body and boom she comes back to life for you! it is almost disturbing! but its awesome and she'll follow you and kick some ♥♥♥ for you depending on how strong your "Reanimate" Spell is strong enough (as she eventually turns into a pile of dust...

ALSO in front of the door outside you will see Festus Krex hanging from a tree on the right hand side of the door with about 10-14 arrows going through him with his head in a noose!!.... Go check it out if you havent seen it!!,if you did then pretend like i didnt just waste your time.

I saw Festus there on my way out of the hideout when the fight was over, just before the first move to Dawnstar.

Didn't know that about Astrid though. How long can you keep her around? Is it a timed limit before she crumbles to dust?

If your conjuration skill is high enough you can get a spell that can permanatley ressurrect a dead body, but once they die, they tur to ash

It's not exactly an easter egg... But if you use the spell "Dead Thrall", you can keep her, or anyone, alive for 999 seconds or so.

Please explain how this is in any way an easter egg.
Souls Sep 29, 2014 @ 9:43am
An easter egg example would be the headless horseman roaming around skyrim on his ghostly horse.

This is a new definition of easter egg that I have not heard of before.

An easter egg would be the "weeping angels" in Sovngarde.

A new definition, you say? How so?
Souls Sep 29, 2014 @ 9:59am
An easter egg is a secret, and often hidden NPC, item, or other.

So, what I said, but a paragraph?

Ok,call it what you will... maybe "easter egg" was the wrong word for what I found to some of you but it was to my knowledge that you could not reanimate a "Burnt" or "desicrated corpse" . All I wanted to do was point out the fact you that you can Reanimate Astrid long after the fact from where she became well "desicrated" and it deffinetly gave me a laugh and I couldn't find anywhere that you could do this so yeah to me it was kind of a secret and pretty cool so thats why I dubbed it an "easter egg".

Well, if that corpse was once somewhat essential to the dark brotherhood, it's quite obvious. If it shows a name on their body, besides "Burnt Corpse", than you'd have the ability to bring it back to life to fight for you.
