Strange exploding icy death.

Okay so I was building my house earlier and walked over to the shrine in the cellar when my character randomly exploded in an icy blast and died. Similar to when you stand on an ice glyph. It has happened once before when I walked in a certain place in the Windhelm hall of the dead.

Does anyone know why this is happening? Could it be one of my mods glitching out? How do I fix this?

It's the Lakeview Manor one.

Had a feeling it might be. There is a mage necromancer down the hill near the river, who does not like being disturbed. For some reason enemy mages always seem to get you through walls.

Try killing him and then check out your basement again.

Hmmm interesting, not sure how I've never spotted him before. Just tried killing him though and unfortunately I still explode in a frosty mess. Going to try disabling mods and see if it's one of those... This could take a while.

Thanks dude, will have a look through that and see if it comes up with anything. Just uninstalled all of my Nexus Mods and reloaded and it appears to be gone, so it's looking like it's one of the mods that's causing it... Now to figure out which -_-

Found it! It appears to be the Skyrim Scholarly Adventures that was causing it. No idea how or why but have removed it and no more exploding icy death so that's something!
