Where is Tamriel?
This is probably a stupid question, but where is Tamriel? How do I get there? I've got some quests there. I remember it was mentioned early in the game, but I don't remember what was said about it.

If you want to get complicated with it, Tamriel is located on the planet Nirn which is The Elder Scroll's version of earth which is sorta up for debate if you think the official valve addon is really official Skyrim takes place in Tamriel which is basically a continent full of different settled provinces Morrowind, Hammerfell, Cyrodiil, Black Marsh, Elsewyr, Orsinium (or whatever the heck its called), High Rock, Summerset isles and last but not least Skyrim where this part of the elder scrolls series takes place and also get its title.

Sometimes it does sounds like Skyrim is part of Tamriel, but one quest involves finding Lake Honrich. I searched it on an online Skyrim map and it brought up a NEW map named Tamriel with no features I've seen in Skyrim. Another quest requires calling a dragon in Tamriel, but when I try to call the dragon, nothing happens. I have both quests marked active, but I get no indicator of which way to go, so I'm at a loss.

Skyrim counts as tamriel.

Tamriel is all the lands, including Morrowind, Valenwood, Shivering Isles, Elsweyr, Hammerfell, Black Marshes, Cyrodiil and Skyrim plus High Rock and a bunch of others I missed. Don't forget that Atmora is where the first nords came from in the beginning....

So...

Planet: Nirn
Continent: Tamriel
Countries: Skyrim, etc.

Are there other continents besides Tamriel on Nirn?

Yes, actually. Akivir is one of them. It seems a bit inspired by Japanese culture. You can see the connection with the armor, and the sword is a dead giveaway.
