Looking for a mod that gives me the respect I deserve...
Of all the awesome mods that I have accumlated over the past year-and-a-half of playing this game on PC, there is one mod that yet eludes me, and I don't know if such a thing even exists. One thing that has always bothered me about Skyrim is the fact that, through all of my accomplishments, nobody gives me the respect I feel I deserve. IE, after completing the civil war faction questline and siding with the Imperial legion, imperial soldiers still address me like I'm some sort of no-name newb tot. I'll come across random soldiers in the wild and get the whole "move along if you don't wanna get hurt" snark, to which I usually just get frustrated and make them bleed a bloody, bloody mess. I JUST WON THE WAR FOR YOU, YOU UNGRATEFUL PRICKSNOT.

It's like this throughout Skyrim, regardless of which faction I have gained favor with or which deeds I have carried out. Is there a mod out there that changes NPC behavior so that I can run around and actually feel like anything I've done was actually worth a damn, whether good or bad? As much as I have always loved this game, the world and the immersion is so goram bland sometimes.

On a side, but similar note - is there a mod that makes NPC's react more realistically to corpses lying around? I don't know how many times I have sucked a guard dry of his blood and left his corpse jusy lying in the middle of town, and townsfolk just walk right over the corpse like he's a clump of dirt. Ideally I would want to move the corpse and hide it somewhere so as not to get caught, but there is no compelling reason in this game to do so.

Rodney Dangerfield plays Skyrim? lol. Welcome to the real world. There are mods that change some of the replies that npcs give, either replacing or adding to the replies. And the game does insert some variation to speech, especially just after a major quest or accomplishment. But beside the voice makeovers, you would have to make your own mod to accomplish what you want.

Guard Dialogue Overhaul

"GDO alters the effect that Skyrim Guard dialogue has on the mood of your game. Rather than annoying you, guards will enhance your experience of the game and increase your immersion in the world of Skyrim by properly recognising your actions and not making disrespectful comments to a character that they are supposed to respect."

This one works pretty good, I think.

It works pretty well, but it doesn't affect everyone.
I run it + reduced greeting distance. I have to practically bump into someone for them to randomly talk to me.

As the name suggests, it's Guards only.
