How do I get my character to talk?
Now when I say talk I don't mean actual words. I want my character's mouth to move as if she's talking. I came across a way on how to do it but it didn't work :(

Is there any way to make my characters's lips move using mods or using the console?

This is the way that didn't work:

"And for your player character there is a console command that lets him/her talk - go in 3rd person view, open the console, click with your mouse on your character (now you should see some numbers in the console) - then type say 142b0, close the console > your character will now say a short sentence - just freeze everything (tfc 1) when your character has the right facial expression and take screenshots! (say 142b1; say 142b2; say 142b3; say 142b4 and say 142b5 work as well and will give you slightly different sentences and facial expressions)"

Unless you're going to edit and create an animation string for what the character might be saying, then there's no way.

All the mouth movements of the NPC's in conversation is done manually to match the text. There's no automatic system of matching mouth movements to phonemes.

You sure you did the method correctly? Or maybe you didn't select your character right. You can try the MFG console. That's what most people use for facial animations and mouth movements

I just want it so that my character can say a random line of dialogue and have her mouth move. She doesn't have to actually say anything.

I selected my character and the code that came up was 00000014. I will try what you suggested. How do I access this mfg console?

You get it.

It doesn't make your character actually talk or make lip movement but does let you give him/her different facial expressions and mouth expressions, which is about the same thing. Also enhances the console function significantly. Very useful indeed.

You can use this guide for reference on the console commands

Someone needs to crete a Doge mod.
(Don't shoot me if there's already one and Gaweyne doesn't know it yet)

There are a couple actually. I have seen them on Nexus. But they don't capture the round head or the eyes. It's just a mini yellow wolf. Someone needs to make a better Doge mod.
