Console Command Smithing To 100
Hi,
I am looking at getting my smithing to 100, just straight up, would the way to do this be by using a console command or mod or what?
Thank you

player.forceav smithing 100
syntax
<actor>.forceav <skillname> <value>
or
player.advskill smithing 9999999
syntax
<actor>.advskill <skillname><skillxp value>

save first and try them both.

ok, so.
forceav is a command to force the value to a set amount.

advskill is a command to progress a skill as if you were leveling it naturally.

syntax is the structure of a command

you can forceav, modav, additem and a whole bunch of other stuff to yourself the <player> or to NPC's <an actor with a refid>

save the game.
type ~ to open console
enter: player.advskill smithing 9999999999999

all done. in the future look at this http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Skyrim:Console

Here's another one:
incPCS smithing
It increments the specified Player Character Skill by one (1) level each time you use it. :squirtyay:

the first one did not work but the second one did

Using Console to raise skill levels is inadvisable, it can break the game.

But the risk just makes it more exciting. It is very satisfying to gain something through hard work and dedication, yes, but you can't deny the thrill of successfully accomplishing something when it has a chance of going so wrong.

That's why people love the Thieves Guild quests.

player.setav smithing 100 but you won't level up,plus if you want the perks you'll have to add them thru the console or as you level, adding perks with console commands isn't recommended as you can mess them up, incpcs smithing is a much better way

Generally is better to use setav or modav rather than forceav, as forceav can sometimes be more likely to cause issues down the road.

But yeah, if you just want to set your smithing to 100, use setav.

Awards are not worth much if there’s no risk.

This thread was quite old before the recent post, so we're locking it to prevent confusion.
