Whats wrong with pre ordering a game I want or getting extra content that extends gamplay of a game I love? Nothing unless you're some cheapskate like urself.

If you cant see how this will change everything within the Community, if you are to blind to understand that this is essentially destroying a community that has been working together for decades, then you have my pity.
Money changes everything. There will be ♥♥♥♥♥♥ click n bait mods, some mods rely on other mods, there is essentially no quality controll, copy right issues and last but not least, mods that are behind a paywall, ARE NO MODs. THEY ARE THIRD PARTY DLC. Period.
enlighten us with a legitimate argument and facts and we'll debate about it.
