Skyrim Body Color Mismatch
The bodies of female npcs and followers, both modded and vanilla are darker than their heads, hands, and feet. The heads, hands, and feet are smooth and clear. The bodies themselves are dirty and somewhat dark. I have confirmed this is a texture problem. Here's a list of my mods that could affect this.

I heard the NPC version of this mod causes this. But I don't use that. However, I'll list it anyway.

ApachiiSkyHair

Women Of Skyrim
Amazing Smooth Females Complete
SG Female Textures
UNP Female Textures
Fair Skin Complexion
UNP Blessed Body

I also had all these mods on, excluding UNPB, with UNP and still no change. I've been turning some of these mods on and off and still nothing. What should I do?

I wonder if my Skyrim.ini is also part of the problem...

I also used to have CBBE, but then I heard UNPB\UNP was better. Could it be some skin textures that weren't fully uninstalled when I got rid of CBBE?

EDIT: Ok, so the only people so far who are not affected by this seem to be female Dark Elves and Serana.

Anyone?

The problem likely has to do with your skin textures. You seem to be using quite a few different mods and they may not be compatible.

Install any body mods before installing skin textures.

@Heisenberg. So completely take off all texture mods and then see if I can find the culprit? Alright.

@grimus I use LOOT. If LOOT is supposed to tell me of any conflicts, I haven't seen anything like that.

Sorry for the late reply. I took off all mods that affect females except the UNP body and the bodies are still darker than the heads and hands on my followers. Except when I spawned in a female forsworn, her head matched the color of her body quite well. Before, it didn't. Any thoughts?

You might not if the texture/meshes the mods are being layered in via an installation order (over-writting the previoous mod's textures/meshes.) It might be a matter of installing the mods in a specific order. (not nessasarly the load order.)

Wish I knew what that order is supposed to be...Is there some way to find out? I apologize if I'm asking stupid questions. I really have no idea how this stuff works. I am assuming you are saying I need to order the mods myself. As I asked, is there anyway to find out what order is that?

I would try using Total Character Makeover. It adds feet and hands and uses a matching texture so there shouldn't be any skin color differences.

Install it after your body mod.

For me I look at all the files by unzipping them and then tried to figure out just what "look" I was aiming for. Then I eventually gave up because I kept changing mods and just settled for a general NPC overhaul mod.

What mod was that?

Didn't do anything, the miscoloration is still there. Although, I feel like it's worth noting that UNP doesn't appear in my plugins list. Neither does Total Character Makeover.

Ok, I'll try this. By the way, I was looking through Mod Organizer and I found ways to find conflicts. In the Data tab. When I looked through the texture conflicts, apparently there is a conflict in the females tab. Apparently, a muscle texture for males ( I like both males and females to look good in my Skyrim ) was messing with the female body. And a vampire ugly face remover also was doing that. I've taken them off. I'll see if the miscoloration is gone both with this mod and the mods I removed. Fingers crossed. :)

Oh. That's alright. By the way, the mod and the mods I removed both didn't work. I wonder if I should just completely re-install my Skyrim. Just to..get rid of some miscoloration. :\

Have you tried deleting all the files in the

textures/actors/character/FaceGenData/FaceTint/Skyrim.esm

folder?

The only ones I found in textures are Clutter and Effects. And in Skyrim\Data, there's no "actors" folder.

Huh. This is why I use the Nexus mod manager now. I use to do it manually but this was the problem after installing a 100 mods or so. Haha.

Files would disappear?
