Japanese Elf Race
I'm looking for a mod that adds the Japanese style of elf to the game as a seperate race. The version that is common in manga and anime. Sort of like these:

Tania the Hermit is actually a good example and I know that there is a standalone race for her, but I was looking for others. Anyone know? I'm gonna see about creating a lore unfriendly snow elf XD

A Custom Body Replacer (I recommend SevenBase or UNP)
SKSE, and XPMSE and then install ECE:
http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/12951/?
With that you will be able to create a character/follower which resembles Tania and has Elf ears.
Have Fun!

Yeah I have those. Using CBBE and the Enhanced Character Editor, RaceMenu and XPMSE. I know I could create the character, but Im just too lazy. lol

It's just about changing the ears of your character. You can't be too lazy to play a game while playing a game...

If you basically just want a pointy-eared, fairly human (but slightly pointy-faced) light-skinned looking character, try Ethereal Elven Overhaul plus RaceMenu (by the way, ECE and RM are *not* compatible, you shouldn't be trying to run both on the same character...). With RaceMenu you can save a human preset (probably wouldn't bother with too much faffing, just pick a skintone you like) in the Presets tab, then switch race to whichever vanilla elf race you like the racials for, and apply the preset. This will give you a fairly human-faced (thanks to EEO) elf with a human skintone (from the preset). You can then edit the face as normal until you get something you like. There's also, I think, mods to give elves either fully human eyes, or alternatively better but still elf-like (i.e. with the 'whites' of the eyes matching/being close to the colour of the irises) eyes. You might like a combination of Natural Eyes (which I think offers new eye shapes) and The Eyes of Beauty.

Get animu textures like SG renewal or Fair Skin, install RaceMenu , pick breton race and shape them.
Alternatively download some character preset and re-tweak it by adding ears or sth else.

You won't make a good character if you are lazy, though. Creating a unique character takes lots of work and time.

So I'm getting the impression that there are no custom races that simply add a Japanese style elf character, and ill have to create my own or use the Tania standalone. That is really surprising since I see them all the time in screenshots on the Nexus. Always thought that people had a race to use.

http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/59341/? <--- this is essentially what Im looking for, except I wanted to know if there are any others. Maybe some that aren't on the Nexus either.

haha you're telling me. I spent a good hour replicating myself as a Skyrim character. Only problem is that I'm not light enough to be an Imperial or dark enough to be a full Redguard (ya for being mixed).

Just do what you were told above and you should be able to get a character which looks the way you want it to.
Keep in mind that Charas on screenshots may look way different ingame since the screenshots are rendered allready and have fixed lighting etc...
There's a mod called Elin armor. I don't think it's a custom race but I think the face may be a helmet of some kind?

I may just have to do that. It's really surprising that no custom races exist for this since it's really not that hard to create one. I might just have to do that after creating a decent preset.

I mean we have people creating followers, but no race preset, for real?

I don't know if anyone remembers years ago that a theory was put forth about how the Norse came up with elves. It was that the Norse based the elves off Japanese people from tales they heard of the sailors coming back from their travels.
