Madanach does nothing!

So I didn't kill him, scaped from the mine and now he's standing with his crew in front of this old man and a guard doing nothing. He just keeps repeating that this girl stole back my stuff.
Don't have saves to try again and don't wanna use commands that finishes the quest automatically. I wanna know what happens next! And no, I won't Youtube it.

Why don't you just kill Madanach instead? That's one way I can see of possibly fixing it. If that didn't work, maybe install the unofficial skyrim patch from the nexus if you haven't already. Might not fix it though, if I'm correct the patch fixes the more common of bugs. Good luck fixing it though.

2 years late but i have your fix! on console click on thonar silver blood and type "kill" and the mission should complete
