What's a fast way to Level-Up Destruction?
So i'm stuck on the boring task of leveling up Destruction. It's currently at 54 and all of my other mage skills are at 100 Already. What's a fast way to level up Destruction? No Exploits -- I'm not in to that kind of thing.

Combat is the only way. Summon Dremora Lords and wail on them. Or perhaps friendly essentials like Ma'iq, Shadowmere, or the Greybeards. The more magicka cost and damage done, the more experience gained.

I consider Console Commands to be an Exploit so no. I also dislike Console Commands greatly; I almost never use them.

left hand=summon Dremora Lord, right hand- fall balls to kill him, repeat, again and again. make sure you have blessing of Mage Stone=west of Riverwood, and wear stuff to help your magic.

Also, use the mage guardian stone found upstream of Riverwood. 20% more experience gained using spells.

Stand in the forge at Solitude. No really this actually works.

There isn't really a faster way to level Destruction besides naturally using it in combat.

If you aren't using them already, pay trainers since that nets 5 per level. Also if it helps to know this, destruction leveling is based upon the amount of damage dealt, not its frequency. So its actually fairly similar to leveling the physical combat skills.
Ah, this topic reminds of my days in Morrowind. Where I would just stand on town walls and shoot fireballs off into the sky, just to increase my destruction spells. Good times

But not very well. They've fixed a bit of it, so you can't just stand there. You need to keep moving about or jumping. Flaming your summons is still faster.

Cast a fire rune, then cast a familiar on top of it. Repeat. It is not very fast, but since Destruction magic sucks, it doesn't really matter.

True, but it still works.

Pay a trainer. 5 levels of skill can be taught per game level. Faralda of Winterhold is the Master trainer.

Set your difficulty to Adept. Lower is okay, but higher difficulties will lower your exp rate because of damage reduction.

Spam the highest level Destruction spell you have on an essential target like Shadowmere or Maiq, using the Mages Stone (20% exp bonus) + Aetherial Crown w/ the Lovers Stone stored on it (15% exp bonus) + sleeping bonus (10%) with enchanted gear reducing destruction cost to 0 or as low as possible and combine that with a trainer at every level up.
