Why does Haelga hate you?

Just something I noticed. She hated every character I made up to this point and considering her... reputation, it doesn't maek much sense.
I'm not complaining, just wondering.

Did every characer of yours steal her Dibella statue, beat her for money or blackmailed her for sleeping around?

Yeah. That would make her to hate you.

Yeah, if you don't do that stuff she doesn't hate you, she just isn't remotely impressed by you, and doesn't have time for random strangers who come trapising into her city/bunkhouse, probably expecting her time, attention, or whatever. Not everyone in Skyrim's going to think you're awesome just because you're there.

Nope, none of my characters did that. I guess I didn't phrase it correctly. Why does she reject you? She is even said to... 'take' everyone willing.

She doesn't *hate* you if you don't get the marks of Dibella or if you don't do the Thieves Guild thing. But she's terribly snotty all the same. I think it's just her personality.

Anyway, even though she has a reputation, I think she's still high and mighty because in her mind she's "Practicing the Dibellan arts." Maybe she rejects the Dragonborn because he/she's a wanderer and Haelga seems to basically stick to the guys in Riften? I guess she feels like she has to draw the line somewhere?

Here's a hint, go as a girl your friends call a slut, ask for sex and see how that ends. You will get the same result but with a load of extra legal and phyiscal consequences.

But seriously talk to her niece inside the Bunkhouse, she doesn't think much of her either. Just the way she is. But managing a rough bunkhouse by yourself you'd probably have to be a no nonsense sort. Goes with the job.
