trust me, I tried google searching before this topic. this does NOT work. it can be under general in skyrim.ini or skyrimprefs.ini , doesn't work.

Just to double check you're not changing the files in the steamlibrary directory but the files in Documents/My Games/Oblivion ?

Skyrim has the same system.
The .ini files that are used are located in documents/my games/Skyrim
