Anyone know of a mod to smelt
Corundum ingots and iron ingots into steel? I only have ingots but need to make some steel. Since the standard steel ingot recipe is 1 corundum ore + 1 iron ore and it takes 2 corundum ore to make a single corundum ingot, then in using ingots to make steel it should be 1 corundum ingot + 2 iron ingots = 2 steel ingots.

Anyone know of a mod that does that? I tried searching but all I could find were mods that allow you to smelt weapon and armor and junk into ingots but not one to convert pre existing corundum and iron ingots into steel.

I recommend this mod warmly for almost everyone. It fixes a lot of silly and inconsistent things from the game and allows smelting items to ingots.

The biggest change here is that CCOR redoes the list to create ingots from raw materials. Doing that is now much harder, because you will need 5 iron + 3 charcoal just for 1 steel ingot.

This may sound too harsh for you first, but you can also smelt the gear you pick up or no longer use as ingots. So, you can smelt weapons and pieces of armor to several iron, steel (etc.) ingots and use them right there.
