Dawnguard, Dragonborn or main quest first?
In what order do you think I should do them? In terms of the story and overall experience, not loot.

They don't really conflict with each other. The only difference may be if you do Dragonborn before finishing the main quest, because then Miraak won't say that you defeated Alduin and other crap, which is not important anyway
Okay, thanks all, guess I'll play them in order of release.
What I usually do is follow the main story up until the vampires become a threat. (About when you're level 8 - 10).
Since vampires present a more emminent threat to your overall campaign, (they can kill some people that some of your main quests depend on) ... I go after the vampires to eliminate that threat mainly because I don't want any problems showing up later on in my game.

Cultists aren't much of a threat and the townfolk or guards will kill them on sight when they become hostile to you. As long as I don't go to Solstheim until I'm ready to go after that renegade dragon priest. You can also avoid triggering the Dawnguard campaign by not
picking up the note from the body of the cultists after you've dealt with them.

You can avoid Dragonborn that way, not Dawnguard
Finishing the main quest makes me feel like the game is over, so I usually finish it last. That said, I tend to intermix my quests. I don't do one thing until it's finished and then move on to the next. Much of Dawnguard can be done at the same time as the rest of the Skyrim quests. There's stuff to do in between the boat to Castle Volkihar and Castle Dawnguard. There is literally and entire province between them, and it would be silly to ignore it. On the other hand, Dragonborn is set on a separate island, so it's easiest to do all the Solstheim stuff while there.

Ditto for Oblivion. I tend to mix the KotN stuff with the main game while in Cyrodil, but concentrate on the SI stuff while in SI.
Regarding the vampire threat: They only attack at night, so if you're sleeping at night they won't be a problem. If you're playing a vampire, on the other hand, then you're screwed. Why would you side with those guys anyway?

Yep, you're right. My bad.
For the record, I did Dragonborn before Dawnguard and it didn't seem to affect anything, nor did one story touch on the other in any way that I remember. But it does help to at least do Dragonborn after the main dragon quest.

I liked both DLC a fair bit. Dragonborn adds more, I suppose, including a whole new raw material to craft new types of weapons with, but it also stays almost entirely within Solstheim, whereas Dawnguard feels a bit more integrated with Skyrim. And Dawnguard also features two new, very spectacular areas -- they just don't happen to be areas that it makes much sense to return to after you finish the quests, in contrast to Solstheim. Anyways, enjoy.
Deadly Dragons, and others, can soothe the boredom with dragons. :)

Play in any order you want. I'm correctly running with a level 52 thief that's only done the TG, College of Winterhold, and Miraak quest lines. Delphine's been waiting forever to give me that Thalmor party invitation. I'm not even sure I'll get around to finishing the main quest on this playthru...
