Can you please post your pc specs, and your mod information
Using MO, the best way to give all the info about your mods and can is actually to run mod watch : http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/56640/
Card: R7850 (I have two, but when I crossfire I get SEVERE fractualing).
Processor: AMD FX(tm) -6300 Six-Core Processor
Ram: 8 gig.
I get some frame rate issues, but it still ran as stable as I could have hoped for.
Hold on. Sorry.
Just gives a nice clean interface to look at it all
I think I got it!
Couple of things I noticed from your load order in general
- Make sure you have the correct version of JSwords (youve probably seen the LOOT note on it, just being paranoid)
- You might want to look at getting the CoT Weather Patch as it fixes a few of the lingering CoT problems and bugs (and wow do you like dark nights XD)
- Be careful about using Skyrim Radioactive. It has been made with some very iffy moddeling methods and has a few long standing bugs that the author doesnt acknowledge or fix (such as spawning under cities when leaving a shop and dying)
- The Dance of Death is a bit outdated. You might want to look at replacing it with Violens A Killmove Mod on your next playthrough
But as far as your CTD problems... Im really not sure. I dont see anything that I know edits that area other then SFO but I know thats safe, and I dont see any major problems with your load order or your ini files
Edit : Oh, thats odd. Might want to toss a note about that on the mod watch page.
In that case, go to your MO installation directory, go to the profiles folder, pick whatever profile you are using and copy paste the contents of the plugins.txt here just so we get the full load order.
Double Edit : I forgot that Modwatch doesnt upload inactive plugins, so that might be the difference maybe?
In response to your concerns:
- JSwords has never given me any problems before so I think that's in order. Thank you for asking though.
- I just got the patch right now. Will this fix the weird black spots I see ingame? I hope so. It's nothin' that I've been dying to fix, but it would be nice to see it fixed. Dat Grass loves to go completely black at night times with lighting I have.
- Should I disable/uninstall Dance of Death for Violens?
Yeah, like I said it's a very odd specific problem... I guess I should just stay way from that one location then?
Edit: I forgot to address the Skyrim Radioactive, sorry! I have actually yet to experience these problems!
The weather patch should definitely fix your grass lighting issues. Thats one of a number of bugs it fixes. It also makes lighting register properly on grassy areas.
As far as your killmove mods, not in your current save, both mods are heavily scripted and I wouldnt exchange them now, but next save, its something I would concider.
It is a very oddly specific problem. Usually crashing in a specific area, or walking into a specific area, is 90% of the time one of these things :
- A script attched to an object that has come loose and is running wild - which i doubt because its an isolated area and you can hang around there fine
- A corrupted, but not missing, mesh - sometimes crashes the rendering engine, rarer, but known to happen, but same as above, you can be in the area fine before hand
- Conflciting mods editing the same data - The most likely cause as it would be something more likely to cause a crash on load rather then just a crash while walking up to it, but again, I dont see any mods that should be doing that in your list
- a UDR in a mod causing issues over a mesh in that area - similarly to point 2 and 3, id almost expect this, but again, you can be in the area fine, and i dont see any problematic mods, so i wouldnt expect this to be the case
If its not one of those things, which as far as I can tell its not, I have no idea whats causing it honestly.
Edit: I trust you when you say you don't know the problem. I'm actually a very noob mod installer. I honestly don't know how to work Mod Organizer 100%, but a friend said it was much better than NMM.
The patches either come with the installer for Climates of Tamriel, or they can be found as alternate downloads on the CoT nexus page. I forget which, its been a long time since I downloaded them XD
And nothing wrong with being new to mods at all. I use MO myself, and yes, it is much safer and more stable then NMM, so your friend told you correct.
What does it mean in Loot when I get:
- Total Number of Messages 31
- Number of Warnings 33
- Number of Errors 4
ClimatesOfTamriel-Dungeons-Hazardous.esp
CRC: BDC66F4C
Version: 3.1-
Error: This plugin is incompatible with "Realistic Lighting Overhaul - Dungeons.esp", but both are present.
ClimatesOfTamriel-Interiors-Warm.esp
CRC: B61E85AE
Version: 3.1-
Error: This plugin is incompatible with "Realistic Lighting Overhaul - Major City Interiors.esp", but both are present.
Error: This plugin is incompatible with "Realistic Lighting Overhaul - Minor Cities and Town Interiors.esp", but both are present.
So should I just get rid of Realistic Lighting Overhaul? Since it loves to conflict with Climates of Tamriel? What does it mean about "Dirty Edits"? Should I be concerned about these?
Also, I apologize in advance for all the questions and problem reports. Thank you again for helping me this far.
Edit: When I go back to my load order I have only 2 errors. The missing masterfile and files in my overwrite section.
I would just disable those two plugins from CoT. You dont have to have them, and RLO looks MUCH nicer the then CoT interior modules.
As far as dirty edits, post then here if you want, but usually I advise to just ignore them. Dirty Edits (ITMs and UDRs) are a potential source of mod conflicts which is why LOOT says to clean them with tes5edit, but many modders use ITMs to set data that is vital for their mod to run to the correct value, so you can potentially break mods by cleaning them.
You can however clean your bethesda files for the update.esm and the dlcs which gets rid of bethesdas horrible data management problems.

Dont worry about files in your overwrite section that much. Files end up there for a number of reasons.
