Spectral Horse Sighted!
At night in plain Skyrim, not the Soul Cairn or anywhere out of the ordinary, I saw and chased a blue-ish ghostlike horse. I managed to catch up with it, but I still couldn't identify it. The only interaction possible was 'Steal horse', which I didn't.

Mostly it looked like the horse belonging to the headless horseman. But there was no rider on it.

It couldn't be Arvak, or for that matter Shadowmere (also wrong color) since I haven't done any of the quests related to either of them.

I consulted the wiki, but without any luck.

What could it have been? Your experiences? Suggestions?

You've seen the Headless horseman Who rides the roads around Whiterun at night ! Give chase and follow him to his rides end at a crypt .... Battle the skeletons and undead !
It is an interesting thing that is not part of any quest!

It is an interesting thing that is not part of any quest!

I cleared that place already early in the game.

However, I just found out that HH sometimes spawn off his horse which causes the horse chase him at full speed. That must have been what I saw.

I wonder what would have happened if I actually did steal the horse. The Headless Horseman chasing me? ; ) Could be interesting if he wasn't invincible.

IT IS Arvak you must find the Owner who is in the Soul Caim to Owen Arvak you must find his Owner to do that find Arvak Head you must see His owner from were you intered the Soul Carim to your right find the Owner first

I have never been in the Soul Cairn in this playthrough. I only just started the Dawnguard questline.
