No, I was not a vampire. I didn't even have the Sanguinaris : ) However, it sort fixed itself as I travelled (not Fast Travel) away and later returned.
Now, however, a new problem has presented itself at the next stage: The Moth Priest, Dexion, is hostile by default and can only be talked to when severely beaten. I vaguely remember this happening before, from an early playthrough, but I can't remember how it had to be fixed...
This small exhange of words may actually have some kind of historical importance...

Oops, no, I somehow completely missed the post about Dexion, sorry! *facepalm* I have a bad headache today, can't see straight ;) But yes, OP isn't a vampire so the thrall thing isn't what he needs to do. From what I remember you do have to knock Dexion down so he does that crawling around bleedout animation thing, is that not working, OP? He's been enthralled, hence the hostility, but when he's crawling around he comes to his senses.
