Launcher Says Install Instead of Play [Fixed]
I have tried pressing install and it just closes the launcher and launches skyrim again. I have tried re installing the game and it hasent fixed the problem. The problem started after a fresh windows install.
The game works if I use SKSE but I want to update my workshop mods and I cant because when I have workshop mods installed the launcher just crashes and I cant press play because it says install there instead.

what was the reason for a fresh windows install If i may ask?

Install your Steam mods from the Steam site. Run LOOT to organize all mods, Steam, Nexus, etc. Launch from SKSE. SKSE does not pop up with that screen, it shows Continue, Load etc, the next screen.

Also to cover this base did you install SKSE properly?

SKSE does not pop up with the launcher whatsoever.

SKSE skipes past the launcher and the game works i just cant get workshop mods or make my game fullscreen.

What are your 'new' specs for your PC?

Also You have two options.

1. have Steam check for video driver updates and/or Steam Client Updates, If nothing pops up you will have to do a clean reinstall of Steam. Since Steam is still reading out your old stuff for some reason.

2. You can do a full clean reinstall of Skyrim, by going into your Steam folder and deleting your Skyrim folder. If the "Install" is still there run verify cache after exiting out, and if nothing changes try running admin on Skyrim.

Did a black box quickly appeared and quickly disappered? Also send this particular issue up to Steam Support as they will help you a lot better with your Steam. Because it isn't the game's fault, something is wrong with your Steam program. Did you try playing any other games you have in your library?
