Subtitles won't activate

If I click on either subtitles option, nothing happens.

Despite having them activated and working before logging out I have found they somethimes glitch. No idea why.

Try starting Skyrim, see if they are activating. if not go into your settings, deactivate them, save and exit Skyrim. You may have to actually shut your computer down for 5 mins as a secondary option.

Go back into Skyrim. Load your game, then go back into Setting to reactivate the subtitles and save. Check to see if working.

Might sound silly but also make sure you didn't edit the ini files and have them set as read-only, if you don't know what I mean chances are thats not the case.
