Any way to quickly remove spell from either hand?
So I have this dilemma, ever since I started using Bound weapons more often, so here what it normally goes whenever you have hotkeyed a weapon: You press once to get your weapon equiped, you press again to un-equip it.
Spells are a different story, selecting again the spell will only make it equip on your other hand..so lets say I want to quickly change from using my dagger, to using my bound sword...what it does? equip the spell on the other hand...
IT is annoying as well as whenever I want to change from bound sword to bound bow -> that works fine, since the bow takes up bothe hands BUT, when I want to change from Bound bow, to bound Sword, 1 spell will always remain on the other hand...so When I think that I block, I actually just cast ♥♥♥♥ing bound bow....it seems like Skyrim wasn't really designed to have quick acces/on the run switcharoo's with your spell.
SO if there is ANY WAY, I can un-equip either right-hand spell, or left hand spell....preferbly the left hand spell, I WOULD be very grateful, thanks for your time.

I haven't had a problem. Maybe you are just doing it wrong or maybe I am not understanding your problem.

If you want to unequip a left or right handed spell, all you do is press the button bound to that hand while you are selecting the spell in your favorites .

For instance, my setup is a little weird, but Mouse1 is righthand and Mouse4 is lefthand.

My sword is always in the righthand while magic is in the left. If I want to switch between conjuration to summon, restoration to heal, or a destruction spell, I highlight the spell I want in my favorites then press mouse5 to equip the spell in my left hand since M5 is left hand.

There is never any possiblity to equip the spell in my righthand, unless I press mouse1 by accident.

I'm also unable to unequip spells, though it seldom bothers me. In my favourites, I'm not aware of any way to assign a button to a hand - I can assign them to spells and weapons and whatnot, but I'm not aware of any way to assign them to a hand.

Say I set a heal spell to 1. If I press 1 once, then one hand will equip the spell, if I press it again the other hand will also equip it, and if I press it again there's no change. I have to equip other items to get rid of them, and if I unequip those items with hotkeys, I go back to holding the spells... Thus to go to fists, I need to manually enter my inventory and unequip my items there.

The only interface tweak I'm using is SkyUI. Haven't actually played the game without it.

I'm sorry, I probably wasn't clear in my problem.
What I meant to say is: I HATE to use favourite menu (q), in the middle of the action; that means:
I am looking for means, to un-equip a spell from a hand, WITHOUT having to pause the game by selecting favourite menu (q), find the spell I want to un-equip, click on it....It's very tiresome, breaks Immersion, by pausing the game.
When I'm fighting, I just want to fight, To be able to switch IMMIDATELY from spell and being able to PARRY quickly...not to pause the game like a jackass having to look for the spell in the fav menu to unequip it.

@Bomb Bloke ^^ he gets what I meant

Apparently, there is a MOD that could answer my problem, called "Dual Wield Parrying" , lots of people using it, although, I would like to know of a way to actually un-equip the spell by using my ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ hotkeys....I thought long and hard about it, and What if there was a mod, which enabled using a Modifier key+ hotkey, to remove desired spell from desired hand...that would be ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ awsome, I dont know of anything that can do that, but I don't belive its impossible, but I've no modding experience.

Try hot keying a Torch or a Shield and double pressing it. That should equip it and then unequip it, leaving you with an empty left hand. The same should work for a spell/weapon in your right.

I know SkyUI has a 'sets' feature in the favourites menu, I can't seem to find a clear answer as to whether you can make a set that is empty left hand/sword in right, but maybe worth having a go? I *think* the sets can be hotkeyed, but tbh I've not used them much so I can't remember.

I just wanted to say it :)

If you have a spell in your hand jsut hotkey a shield or torch, then unequip it using hotkey. And you're left with bare hands

In favorite menu you can press 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,0, to number that favorite.
Pressing 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,0 will then select it without pausing the game.
If memory serves me correctly double clicking the number will make it swich hands.
Not sure tho.

Yeah, this seems to be the only way to do it sadly...it's clunky, but at least I don't have to pause the game for that all the time.

If you hot key spells and your weapons in the favorites tab, it should work. Say you have a spell bound to 2, you double tap 2 you get dual wielded spell. If you have your dagger bound to say, 1. If you tap 1 while having a spell out, it should switch.

Certain spells want to go into specific hands. My solution with hotkeyed spells is to "double tap" one spell then single tap the other, then both hands will be equipped with the right spell. Also works with weapons and shields if you select them second. It takes a bit of practice, but soon it will be fast as anything else.
