How to kill the black briars?
I remember there was a quest that you could destroy the black brairs in.
Anyone know about it or how to make it available?

Shame there aren't quests where you find proof about corrupt families like the silver bloods and black briars and get them in jail, or get to kill them and get rewarded for it instead of a bounty.

My friend was just telling me the other day about a mod that did that very thing. Allows you snitch on the black-briars and take thm down. He said he found it on Nexus. I don't know the name of the mod but I'm guessing it would be under the Quests category.

He did mention that you were supposed to do the missionn before you started the Civil War quests. Or if you pick the Stormcloak side. The quest is apparently negated if Maven Black-briar becomes Jarl of Riften.

I can't recall any quests in the vanilla game where the player gets to outright kill the Black-Briars and put an end to their hold over Riften, but you may want to look at the mod, Destroy the Thieves Guild[www.nexusmods.com]; kills two birds with one stone.

Or, if you just want to give all the Black-Briars too close a shave with your melee weapon of choice, you can always use the console to make them killable, though I'd advise against this if you plan to do any quests associated with them, for reasons that the author of the mod I linked above states quite clearly.

I've always wished that, after becoming head of the thieves guild/dark brotherhood, you could screw over Maven and have her killed. Especially since you head both the TG and DB, the groups that she uses to intimidate people, and yet she is still a total ♥♥♥♥♥ to you. Guess what Maven, I am better than you now!

sneak up behind him and pickpocket his Briar heart, he will die without a fight. AND yes you can steal his heart...

Forsworn have real hearts and Black-briars have Briar hearts.

Wrong Briar... OP means the Black-Briar family in Riften, not the Forsworn Briar-Hearts.

There is no quest for this in the vanilla game, mainly due to Maven being a potential Jarl if the empire controls Riften and apparently all the Jarls need to be "essential".

I still don't think you get it... why bring up the forsworn? Because of the briar hearts. What he is saying is that the briar hearts in the forsworn have "real hearts", while the briar family in Riften with real hearts have "briar hearts"...
