Is it possible to survive the 'I rather die than go to prison!' chat option?
Lets say i dont wanna pay the bounty of my crime, and i choose to 'die rather to go to prison' which sends pretty much every guard in the city/hold on me. Lets say i kill them all. Whats next?
Will they eventually stop coming after me? Will the city become guards-less? Could i clear my bounty later?

If you have a massive bounty in a given hold (like, several thousand septims) and go anywhere near a guard of that hold, you will be attacked. BUT, if you stay well away from that hold for... I can't remember if it's ten or thirty days' game time (save before going to see if you've been away long enough) you should be able to approach a guard and pay your bounty. There's also a chance of a random encounter with a 'bounty hunter' who will offer to collect the money, plus a fee, and clear your bounty, but it's worth double checking after you've done this whether your bounty has actually been cleared in the crime stats (and if possible, fast travel to the city of that hold to see if you're safe) as I think it doesn't *always* work. (Sadly the only time I have been approached by one, I tried to kill him [assumed he was scamming me], died, reloaded to a point before he was spawned, and never saw him again.)
Interesting... But yet im more concerned about the actual city guards.
Lets say im in whiterun and i start killing all the guards i see. Eventually i kill them all. I guess they wont forever respawn and attack me and that there is a limited amount of them. So then what? Assuming i dont clear my bounty in whiterun, am i able to walk normally after all the guards are dead? forever?
Will i still be able to use the city's facilities like shopping and talking to the jarl and stuff like that?

Whitrun is just an example, as if i can do it there, could i do it everywhere in skyrim aswell?
Theoretically i want all the guards in skyrim to die, by me.

If you're strong enough to kill every guard in the city

I've never tried sticking around very long when I've had guards to kill, but I think they do respawn infinitely, from what I remember reading. Which is a bit silly, I suppose, but then bandits do the same thing, so the law has to do what it needs to, to keep up... (Although I've just done a bit of googling and it looks like they don't respawn indefinitely while you're murdering them all, so theoretically you might be able to kill all the currently spawned ones and then wander around town, except I seem to remember that at least some citizens usually join in the carnage, so you'd have to kill them, too, or run away.) Also I've a feeling the Jarl and Jarl's housecarl/etc would be a bit angry if you have a massive bounty from killing all the guards in the city, though I've not tried it out.

Its not about my level, its about my perks and playstyle.
Its pretty easy if u have a dual cast stagger perk for destruction skill tree + highborn (high elf special force) + close to inifinite magika using destruction enchantments on armor which will reduce magicka cost to almost 0 + healing spells/potions.
So yea, its not like im going sword to sword with all of them (altho i can if i do it right) :D

I'm sure the comment about strong enough refers to being able to kill them all, no matter what your build is. Even if you have a mod that gives you 10-20 followers and your group of "hooligans" want to fight the town guards. Having a few followers was fun to use in the early stages when I wanted to stop for the night and did my last save, then just wreaked havoc on the town for about 5-10 minutes before turning in.

Killing all the guards by yourself is possible, I remember doing it for fun in Whiterun one time I was bored (I think I have a screenshot of that in my content). No idea what that leads to though, it was just a random thing I did before reloading a save.

Edit: yeah, here it is.

I killed all the guards once, few days later they respawned.

Yes, but I killed them again, I was bored and decided to massacre everyone.

You have three choices, get arrested kill them or run for it. If you kill them all then your bounty will go up by 1000 each time if there are witnesses and there almost certainly will be.

Pay off your bounty do the time or stay out of the Hold. No they won't forget the crime and they will come after you. Since your bounty is so high they won't accept arrest initially so stay out of the Hold for 3 days minimum before returning and try to get arrested without killing any more of them.

I guess it took a bit more time than i've expected.

Killed all the guards in riverwood then went to whiterun to do the same (went trough any place possible with guards inside, including guards barracks, jail, dragonsreach and the guards outside the city gates).

After fast travelling to markarth and waiting 5 days (make it 6 days including the travel time back and forth - 13 hours trip for each side), i've decided to go back to whiterun and see if they r still hostile towards me.
I travelled to the whiterun stables intentionally to see if there r any guards outside the gate. It turns out there was only one which stopped me to ask for the bounty (i guess they've spawned him to force me to surrender, or else i wont be able to pay a bounty).
Obviously i told him to go **** himself and then i ran inside the dragonsreach to see if any guards r inside, (while in the middle i was able to buy some items from shopkeepers). There were no guards there, and the only 2 people who were hostile to me were the Jarl and his personal bodyguard, both are 'essential' so couldnt be killed.
Well this is my story anyway.

Total whiterun bounty created from the massacare:

On a side note, after killing Farengar the court wizard, i got a message from a courier saying a person named Jervar tells me to hurt, but not kill, a guy called Skulvar Sable-Hilt for 50 gold. Both are located in the whiterun stables. No further missions after this one is complete.

It worths checking it out, as perhaps this mercenary work might suit me.
