How do you scroll in the console?
What buttons do you press?

(Oh, assuming you want to scroll through a long list of results. The up and down arrow keys will scroll through the things you've already entered as commands, I think only since opening the console that time, i.e. not from earlier in the same session or before.)

What if you don't have those keys. How do you remap them? I have been trying to find out how to remap them BUT IT SEEMS LIKE THE PAST 7 YEARS NO ONE IS SMART ENOUGH OR WILLING ENOUGH TO GIVE THE DANG ANSWER.

Maybe because you can't.

Do you have an Fn key?

Yes I do have the Fn key but it doesn't work. I don't have the extra PgUp/PgDn buttons. I just need to know how to remap them since they are not in game. Is there a file or something that can do this?

I just want to scroll through the console because there are mod items that I can't find names for but I know what they generally are. With out being able to scroll up or down I probably won't be able to find them. The mod author doesn't even have a list or anything of these said items.

I don't think you can do it without some kind of external program or something.

Try pressing Fn+Up Arrow/Down Arrow.

"Oh by the divines thank you! Bless your kind heart!" That was it all this time! Thank you so so much! I feel like an idiot for not trying it sooner.

I've reached a snag, some pages are still too long for the pg up and pg down function, like it works but eventually I reach a point where I can no longer scroll up, is there something I'm missing?

No unfortunately it has its limitations. If you wanna search for regular glass for instance, it will also search every piece of glass equipment with enchantments you can possibly find. For those situations it is best to just check the wiki or uesp.

Unless there is a command which can search for a specific criteria and not everything which contains that word. However last time i checked that wasn't possible, but i have been wrong before.

You don't search for "glass" directly, but things related to Hearthfire DLC. You have to find such roundabout ways to locate a lot of things, but you can narrow them down. For example, while Dawnguard is DLC1, Hearthfire is BYOH - Build Your Own House - and the things related to it almost always begin with that.

As well, as long as you have one of those items, and can drop it and select it in the console, you will get its Ref ID.

However, instead of using the console to add these items, make a mod with a chest that contains thousands of them, set it to respawn, and place it in the world, or in a cell (lakeview interior, etc).
Anyone who is still struggling with this, laptops with Pg up/down on the Numpad wont work. You can alternatively press TAB to expand the console, which shows quite a lot. If this still doesnt help you, you can define a help search by using quotes. I.E.-( help ebony ) will show you everything with ebony in it. Instead type-( help "ebony ingot" )to define search.
