Leaving my items?

So beside the wardrobe can I leave my stuff on other places like barrels, treasure chests and cabins in the places you own? Like the Mage room has three wardrobes does that mean I can store my items in three places or will they disappear after a while?

Also can someone tell me, if I drop items in a house and leaves, get arrested and sleep, Will my items be in that wardrobe after I taken my time in prison since I am wanted in one of the cities with a bounty more than 1000+ that make the guard attack me directly if I am even close to that city. ?_?

In the College room, your stuff will be safe in the wardrobe (at the very least) just chuck it all in there, no worries! If it's your own actual separate property, once it's there, it's there for good unless you accidentally kick it through a wall, although if it's stolen i'd put it in a container as i once had Lydia call the guards on me for picking up the golden claw i'd stolen and left on top of a dresser! If you pick stolen stuff out of a drawer it doesn't seem to get noticed.

yeah I used that little desk now beside the bed in the college now that I think about it.
end drawers or whatever the in-game name is can be used for storage or is it only the wardrobes?

If you own a house you can leave items anywhere, and in any container inside that house.

In the College of Winterhold you can only use the furniture such as wardrobes and bedside tables to safely store items. The barrels and basket will respawn items, you will lose anything you put in them.
