There is no reason to avoid updating. New scripts do not launch, unless they are called by mods.
It shouldn't. SKSE team does not change already included scripts, unless they were faulty. And if that would be the case, then the scritp would have been useless in the first place. I read the release notes and didn't find anything that would have prevented moving safely to next version.
There are no removed targets in 1.7.2 or 1.7.3. Changes are marked either "added" of "fixed." Thus, it should be safe just to run the installer to Skyrim folder. It will add new contnet and replace those few tweaked ones.
So I've updated everything, SKSE, RaceMenu, JContainers, and FF, but now im getting a report from the FF page in the MCM menu saying "Missing race from unknown source" During my hunt for previous answers I saw a few people complaining about this?
And thank you so much for all your help so far. :)

Edit: Yeah, looking through posts on the comment thread for the actual mod, people seem to be having issues everywhere. The mod itself just ssems vey fragile. But anyways, thank you so so much for your help, as well as your advice on SKSE (now I know updating isn't much to worry about) ;)
