Also, the vast majority of followers are "protected" which means they go down instead of dying right away. They only die if hit in that state, which enemies no longer target. Are sure you are not accidentally hitting your followers?
Makes sense. I never hit my followers, I do my best not to anyway. I remember back then years ago when I first started Skyrim, Meeko, the follower dog dies so quickly. It's too easy to kill Meeko by accident because he get's right in your way lol.
Thanks for the advice, I didn't even know about that, the whole time I've played Skyrim, I never knew...the difficulty settings affecting the followers. Well, I hope it doesn't happen again, I'll keep multiple saves and back up's more often. I'll have to see which difficulty setting is best for my followers.
They can, it's just unlikely. It wouldn't be a common occurrence though.
