Windstad manor not appearing?
Okay, so Windstad manor won't appear. I made everything for the starter home, made a garden, stable, animal pen. Nothing is showing up, it's just an empty area. There's nothing wrong with the other houses, or nothing wrong with the Falkreath one, already started making that one and pretty much made a full starter house.

Yes, I have mods. But they aren't causing any problems for other parts of the game so I'm not going to uninstall them just because one house is invisible. I have the unofficial patches as well. Does anyone know of any reason the house is invisible?

I had a similiar problem in an earlier playthrough. In my case, the problem was caused by 'Birds and Flocks' mod which had a spawning point just at above the house. I unsubscribed it and loaded a save from just before starting to build the house. Then, without the mod, everything worked fine.

That mod isn't the problem. The house was invisible before I subscribed and installed that mod. But then again, I didn't have the unofficial patches at first when I bought the plot of land, so I might load to a save before I bought the plot and see if that changes anything.

Loading a previous save didn't help. Trust it to be the house that I actually want that ends up being the glitchy one.

Can't remember. Is it the one by the swamp near Morthal? I've had that once. Worked fine by me.

Yeah, the one just outside the swamp, north of Morthal.

Well, that is the one where I had to remove birds and flocks to make it appear. As said, when the mod was dealt with, it worked just fine.

Anyway, I hope you find a solution to the problem. It is really a nice location for a player home.

Do you have a dungeon mod near windstead manor, if yes uuinstalle that mod.

I cant remember the name of the mod, But there a person standing outside the Dungeon and he askes you to find something inside.

No specific dungeon mods that I know of, unless one of the quest mods I installed create a new dungeon near that area. But I doubt any of the quest mods I have affect Hearthfire because it wasn't written in the description that they caused any bugs/conflicts. I've also used BOSS to sort the load order out and nothing came up there saying there were any conflicts either.

my windsted home didnt show up because of a mod that was in the area, once i deleted that mod the house showed up.

Seeing as there are Hearthfire editions of places mods that I have I'm guessing that the author would know if there were any conflicts.

Also, the bug I'm experiencing is on the wiki, however the wiki doesn't state any fixes.

"After going to the drafting table and selecting Small House Layout, the quest arrow stays on the drafting table. Then when building the house at the workbench the house doesn't show up."

Managed to get the quest arrow to tell me to use the workbench, however the arrow was pointing to where Lakeview Manor gets built. Followed the marker and there isn't a drafting table, workbench or an anvil. However my house is there for some reason. So now instead of building Windstad Manor, I'm now Building Lakeview Manor? I'm so confused right now with this game. There is no reason for this to be such a problem, and definitely no reason for the game to build Lakeview Manor when I've only bought the Windstad Manor Plot, and am trying to build at said plot.

Hey i had the same problem as you guys. I did get rid of birds.esp and it fixed the problem for me. Give that a try
Well, the Birds & Flocks mod is the only one we have in common. I tried disabling it, the manor was still invisible. I tried replacing it with this: http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/25280/?
Still no manor.

I have to assume one of my landscaping or other wildlife mods might be effecting it. If I get around to finding which one it is, I'll report back, for any future players with this problem.

Update: I found a possible fix. After removing the Steam Workshop versions of "Birds & Flocks Hearthfires" & "Real Wildlife" & replacing them with the updated versions at Nexus, the house appeared after I built the next piece.

The downside is that the manor is a hollow empty shell you can't add furniture to, in fact, you can't "enter" the house if you have built all 3 additions.

Okay, so I'm having the same problem as well. I've looked through your subscribed mods and the only ones we have in common are the Faster Vanilla Horses and probably the "Real Wildlife". I've learned that, apparently, mods that spawn in excessive animals and NPCs can cause the houses not to appear. Although this works for me, I'm not sure about anyone elses.
