Is anyone else like me, wishing I could just stay in Riverwood?
When I start a new game, I just wanna stay in Riverwood! Its so nice and friendly and safe. I don't want to go out into the big bad cold Skyrim world, filled with monsters, dragons, draugr.

Riverwood is trickling rivers, green trees and chickens running around.

Are there mods which add stuff to do here?

google for house mods in riverwood a lot of possibility's. there's also a mod that riverwood expands (other places as well) tried it, but it slowed my pc down a lot.

Well I don't stay in Riverwood all the time but this is my preferred living situation for laidback ranger characters - diamond little pad overlooking the town!

This won't keep you in Riverwood but I found it a great companion mod for just living in the world and not worrying about all that end of days bruhaha -

There was a mod on the Workshop that adds a mine to Riverwood (WIP) but I uninstalled like 2 days later because the modder wanted to make slave miners? ..... Not very lore friendly.

I like Riverwood, too <3

I just love the peacefullness and then you have to go to that Bleak Falls Barrow and suddenly everything gets all dark and scary.

Im going to find a hunting mod and live a peaceful live in Riverwood.

Yes that hunting mod sounds good for my peaceful life.

Someone else can save Skyrim.

Personally I run with Frostfall & Realistic Needs & Diseases & some other wildlife related stuff - so for all that there's no dragons its still not exactly peaceful! :falkwreath:

The Hunter's Cabin in Riverwood (also on the Nexus) is another lovely little home overlooking the river. You have to do a little bit of fighting to earn it, but hopefully it helps Alvor out, because those nasty bandits were probably making it tricky for him to get iron ore (although goodness knows where his smelter is...)

Got an awesome house mod in this collection (it's not Navmesh, so can't take NPCs in) that's in Riverwood, and also one real close by to Riverwood that's on the lake, in a tree (is Navmesh). There are heaps of mods for resources etc in Riverwood... I'm at level 38 and only just now heading to Whiterun - Riverwood is ace!

Do the love triangle quest so that Sven can follow you. Lead him out of town and ditch him near some wolves or bandits and let them do the dirty work. Then go back and take over his job as bard and live at the inn.

"Expanded Towns and Cities" adds quite a bit to the smaller towns.

Expanded towns and cities is indeed the mod I revering to that one has some issues near Riverwood .... it looks nice however I had a FPS drop in riverwood from about 15-20 fps
