Numbers Job
Is there a way to stop the shopkeepers from following you everywhere around the shop while your doing the 'Numbers Job' side missions, cause when I go into a shop during the mission the shop keepers follow me all the time and its really annoying.... any tips on how I can stop this. Its mainly the places (Bee and Bard in Riften, and Radient Ramnant in Solitude).

Lots of shops have a back door, find it and break in during the night.

They consider those places as their homes. You can expect same things to happen in other home/store combinations, like Bits and Pieces, Angeline's Aromatics etc.

Being homes stores, owners and workes will close their doors and go to sleep in time. Bee and Barb remains naturally open and Keerava does not sleep, but she will stay downstairs, while Talen-Jei takes a nap.

This is why I like Thieves Guild missions. They might be repeative in natuer, but you will have to do some scouting to estimate the proper time and place to finisth the job. Some missions are best to complete during the day, when no one isn't home. In some other missions you will have to wait for peoples to get some sleep, before sneaking in to their homes.

I have entered through the back doors, the shopowners wake up and say "You should be in here."

Noise is also affected by the type of armor worn.

Heavy < Light < Clothing

Redrum is correct, cloathing/armor and speed of movement affect your sneaking greatly.

Edit: If you wish to move silently make sure your perks are on the left side of the tree

If you have invested 6 perks for that tree and your sneak level is 54, then you are really just having too much armor noise or/and bad timing.

I can break most homes at night with stealth 15 + 1 perk in sneak and standard clothes.

Also look for items enchanted with Muffle, or if you have the ability yourself to enchant with Muffle you can become absolutely silent.

Enter during normal shop hours and when you are on your way to the ledger and the shopkeeper hasn't caught up with you, take an invisibility potion. The 15 sec one is plenty. You could use the spell too, but this is the technique I use for non mages and non sneaky types, who don't feel like stealing. Activating the ledger will not affect invisibility. Then just leave. To be very effective at this, you'll need to know where the ledgers are, nothing happens to you if you investigate the area during normal business hours, they just follow you. Mind you, this is very boring and not a great technique if you actually want to steal, it's just something I use for my non sneaking types.

As for muffle armor, try Predator's Grace, a pair of Hide boots over at Hag's end. Yep, Hagraven's. The boots however, have the highest power muffle enchantment of any boot in the game, including the DB boots.

Thanks for the tips
