like any other magic weapon.
select it in the inventory, then use a sould gem to refill it. this requires filled soulgems

I think T is the default key to charge :)

But seriously tho, the cheese does work... you need the right cheese tho...

Thanks. I accidentaly skipped right past the pop-up that tells you, so all I saw was "press T", and thats the button for waiting, so I was clueless
