I tried Requiem before. Though it may be difficult, it's not really "fun" in the way Dark Souls difficulty is. I don't think I would want to try it again.
I've given it a bit of a trial run, and altered the difficulty from the default 'this is just STUPID' to something more manageable, and I really liked what I saw (but didn't feel like making myself cry with rage that day...) I also liked the little touches like new little notes to find around the world. I think the thing that interests me is the removal of the everything-levels-with-you mechanic, and replacing it with a more logical-sounding 'bandits are quite hard, draugr are really hard, dragons WILL KILL YOU' thing, although I imagine this will make me rage quit when I try to fight my first dragon (okay, probably my first draugr. Okay, maybe my first big tough bandit...)
