Skyrim Unrelenting Force Bug PLEASE HELP!!
Whenever I try to use the shout, people just stagger back and then after about 30 seconds they fly backward. All other shouts seem to work fine. Has anyone had this problem? Does anyone know how to fix it?

Sounds like a mod conflict, or left over scripting Someone had a similar problem a couple of weeks back but didn't see if it was ever resolved. If you can't find the post, I would suggestunsubscribing all mods, and deleting Skyrim, then downloading it again.

I'm having a similar problem. I've cleared Bleak Falls Barrow and defeated the first dragon and made my way back to the Jarl's residence without picking up the 'In My time of Need' quest (I read on a forum that that might be bugging things). Got the 'Go to High Hrothgar' quest, so bought a horse and moseyed on up. Ditched horsie at Ivarstead and walked the rest, sneaking past the troll. When Arngeir asks me to demonstrate Unrelenting Force, I blast it out (by pushing [z]), knocking over all the pots, but old greybeard just keeps asking me to do it again. I can't even get to the quest where they ask you to smash some illusions with the shout. I'm running Skyrim: Dragonborn, with Dawnguard and Hearthfire installed, version 1.9.32.0, which I picked up in the sale two weeks ago.
tl;dr The game isn't reading my Unrelenting Force shout, not at 'Use Your New Shout Power', and not at 'Speak to Arngeir'. Help!

Make sure your cursor is on Arngeir and hold down the Z key when shouting.

Wasn't expecting a quick response; nice! Well, since there's an audience, here's what I've tried in varying combinations of holding/tapping [z]: blasted Arngeir; blasted centre of floor pattern; blasted another greybeard; had my bow targeting Arngei and blasted himr; shot Arngeir a few times and blasted him (this actually worked! I convinced Arngeir I was Dragonborn, but then the greybeards ganged up and iced me); I've tried going in an out of the temple, and re-starting my whole game and doing it again. No dice. I'm goin' spare, man! I don't want to go on and do the side quests if the whole main questline is poked just because I allowed the Khajit traders to get crisped by the dragon as they walked by our battle (for example).

OK, so I restarted again, and this time it works, no problems. So I'm thinking it might have something to to with Faendal. I had him as a companion but he had somehow just disappeared. When I picked up a new companion from the Jarl at Whiterun, she said I still had someone with me, when I couldn't see anyone. So... solved, maybe?

Nothing to do with Faendal. You will probably find him in Riverwood and need to dismiss him or Lydia will not follow you.
