Lydia's Specifications?
Does anyone know, or where I can go to find, Lydias specifications? Then I can stop loading her up with armour and weapons that she won't use. :)

lydia's specifications? you mean her measurements?

Basically, she should use any weapon or armour whose base damage or armour rating is better than what she already has, BUT, she will usually stick with a bow/sword and shield rather than a 2 handed weapon, and I think she usually prefers a sword rather than other 1 handed weapons. She also has a preference (aka higher skill level) for heavy armour rather than light, so if you give her a set of light armour it will have to be a LOT better than the heavy armour she already has for her to equip it. (Which is annoying if you like to sneak, because she doesn't half make a lot of noise).

Roughly speaking, vanilla heavy armour tends to be better the higher up the smithing skill tree its perk is (so Steel Plate is better than Steel, Daedric is better than Ebony, etc) although there are a few sets which are 'special' ones that you get from certain quests/quest lines and I'm not sure where they fit in. Same with vanilla weapons, generally, I think. So if she's got an unimproved Ebony sword, and you give her a Dwarven sword which you've smithed to Legendary (which I'm guessing will generally make it look like it has better stats when you have it in your inventory) she will probably stick with the Ebony sword. If she has a Legendary smithed Ebony sword, and you give her an unimproved Daedric sword (which may well not have such good stats as the highly improved Ebony one) she will probably equip that.

(I may have some of these slightly wrong, but I think that's generally how it seems to work.

If you use Amazing Follower Tweaks, you can change a lot of this, though, you can certainly take away her default gear, and you can also set it up so that the gear she wears/uses is kept separately than her 'backpack' (i.e. all the burdens you ask her to carry for you but don't want her to try to use). I've a feeling it may also be possible to somewhat alter her actual skill levels, though I may be mistaken, can't remember if I've ever tried. If AFT doesn't do that, though, I bet there's another mod that does (so if you want a light armour sneak follower, but you're attached to Lydia, you could probably find a way of adjusting her skills so she's better at LA and sneak, although the AI sneak is rarely all that great, even if they have a maxed sneak skill).

Creationkit = Skyrim = Actor = Housecarl Whiterun. (Not under her name but will be there when you open housecarl folder, same with other housecarls.)

Lydia will use one or two handed weapons and staves. She likes heavy armors but seems to prefer upgraded Steel and ebony type. She likes been a member of the Blades. If you take her to jin the blades be sure to upgrade her blade's outfit and make sure you take all the good weapons from her ust before to have her joning the blades. Once she is a member you can have her following you and then you can give her her enchanted weapons back, especially the two handed types

Worth mentioning that if you run AFT/UFO, both mods have options to view follower stats whenever you want. Another great reason to get either of these if you haven't already.

She will prefer any armor above standard steel. Upgraded steel does not always work, because she usually only consideres the base armor rate of each item. This is not true for upgraded Wolf armor, though.

Lydia likes plate armor as well, so sticking with the left side of Smithing tree will still pay itself with her.

No, bra measurements are done using a weird system of measuring, adding and comparing numbers. The number part is based off the rib cage measurement, plus a bit.

Well, they are not Lydia's Secrets.

Excellent! Thanx all, there's some useful info and some witty remarks, what a fab bunch you are. :) I've heard quite a lot about this 'console', what is it and how do I access it?

You can give her anything, but she won't wear it/use it until she is outdoors, in a dungeon, etc. When she is at home, she wears her default armor.
