Followers constantly walking away..
I have the UFO (ultimate follower mod) and convenient horses, along with other recommend mods organized by BOSS and NMM. Ever since I agreed with Lydia for her to be my house steward for Lakeview manor, she always walks back towards it no matter where we are in the map. Now I'm resorting to console teleporting her whereever I go. Are there any ideas to reset her house steward role?

Never heard about this problem. I had the opposite; I just couldn't dismiss my followers at all. That's why I stopped using the mod altogether.

Move UFO further down the load order until this problem stops.

The only way to fix it was to dismiss her and then have her join back up. Also, it took a slight bit of time (no more than an extra second or two) for the AI to register when follow you on foot or on mount. If you cycle through the choices to quickly, as I did when I first played with Covenient Horses, the AI follower gets mixed up a bit.

For me, I have Sofia as follower and I have the My Home Is Your Home (MHIYH) mod. After I set her home to Proudspire Manor in Solitude, Sofia just keeps walking away and doesn't sneak when I'm sneaking. I evicted her from Proudspire Manor through MHIYH and she acted normally again. I'll continue to play and observe to make sure.

Maybe that is the problem? If one follower mod does not work, another can work better. I know in Skyrim SE AFT did not always work for me and Lydia walked away against my will, but when I changed to EFF, I have had no problems.
