FRAPS

I just downloaded FRAPS and played Skyrim and as I am not at all knowledgeable about this area I have a question. When I am in motion the frame rate hits 60 and stays there; does this mean that FRAPS cannot register over 60 or that my computer is capping the frame rate at sixty. From everything I have read in the posts on this forum having my video card cap the frame rate at sixty is optimal for this game; it would relieve my mind if this was the case.

you can set the amount of FPS in the settings. But I would stay at 60 FPS unless you have like a i7 processor and a gread video card.

I do not know this as a fact or anything, but it is my understanding that the game is maxed out at 60 FPS kind of like it can only use up to 4GB of RAM no matter how much memory your PC has.

I just clicked on the 99fps in the FRAPS window and at times I am hitting 62fps in Skyrim so I am still confused about what all this means. Does this mean that when I am in the General settings in FRAP it will not register over 60fps and when I am in the 99fps it will register up to 99fps? If this is the case how do I cap my frame rate at 60fps. I do not know what settings you are refering to as I have never seen a frame rate adjustment in the Skyrim settings.
