Printscreen screenshot help
So i was playing skyrim and i wanted to take a screenshot of something, so i pressed printscreen (didnt know i was surpossed to press F12), and it says "screenshot3.bmp saved" or something like that, and i was just wondering, does anyone really know where these screenshots end up? Because i searched everywhere, 10 forums and nobody can give me a straight answer, or it's incorrect. If the game saves the file, it should be somewhere, i just have no idea where. I installed my game on my E disk but otherwise it's all deafult folders.. i cant find this screenshot/s anywhere!!!

For the F12 ones, on your steam profile, on the right side, second option after "games" is "screenshots".

For the print screen IDK. Maybe your general picture folder?
find your steam files, in your game folder, : programfiles(x86)/steam/steamapps/common/skyrim.... this is where mine ended up.

Look UP and see your name in white lights beside COMMUNITY, hover over it with your cursor-click on profile-click on profile, look for screenshots and click on it and what do you see
Look for screenshot folders on your hard drive. There may be a few, but they could be in one of those folders also.

I have no screenshots saved on steam cloud (that can be viewed on steam), because i used printscreen button and not F12, but it still said "saved picture" in top left corner ingame, so i thought it must be somewhere, i just hoped some1 had a clue as to where the pictures end up.. still no luck thou
LOOK HERE-> In Steam- (online screen) Click on the upper-left "Steam" word.
Click "Settings".
Click on "In-Game". There you will see "Screenshots". Click on it, and you WILL see where your current screenshots are kept i.e. the path on your computer where the file(s) are.
You can even change or make a new folder to place the screenshots in.
Sorry, just re-read your last post. One way to search for screenshots, type "screenshots" into the search. When results come up, click on "See more results'. The opened window will show all instances of the files, the areas and paths to the files.

No luck anywhere, i already tried that aswell. I tried searching for both screenshot 1 2 and 3 and it doesnt find anything anywhere, i guess the game just.. lied? ;S -1 to bethesda..
OR type in bmp. And click See more results. Be warned, this brings up EVERY bmp image or file.

Print Screen Images are not saved to the hard drive they are copied to your clipboard.
Its basically like Copy & Pasting but you have to manually paste them. The clipboard is cleared everytime you reboot your computer.

I just went into Skyriim and used the PrtScrn button to take some screenshots. They all ended up in the same folder Skyrim itself is in.

I thought so too, so i went in paint and pressed cltr+v but nothing happened, plus it clearly said "printscreen saved",..

Thats so odd. I suppose if its a matter of button preference you could change the screenshot key under the "In-Game" tab in your Steam settings. But If its you wanting those screenshots; I'm not sure what to tell you. I will do some googleing to see if anyone else had this issue and was able to resolve it.

No problem. But I did do some searching and found that some people found them strewn throughout the folder containing Skyrim without any particluar grouping.
