Bow, stealth, lockpick, pickpocket (just pickpocket everyone in Riverwood n Whiterun, just save before every attempt) Stealth.. hang out in Embershard mine (close to Riverwood) and just sit n wait, throw an arrow every now and then, n you will lvl like nuts) Bow, kill all wildlife you see, perk it up.. done.
don't forget your favorite dagger.

Dagger, Bow, get 15x "Assasins' Blade" damage perk on dagger, + Dark Brotherhood armour gives you 30x damage (don't have to join them, destroy them gets the armour too). Bow - 3x damage perk while hidden (Stealth perk). That one is a must. Bound Bow + silent casting perk

My advice is to get the Mehrunes Razor (Daedra quest dagger, critical bonuses). The quest starts when you get the flyer to visit the Dawnstar Museum. Well I guess you can go there before, just look for the guy waiting on his porch on the far side of town. He's having a discussion with a woman if you don't dawdle too many hours once you reach Dawnstar. That dagger along with the assassin gloves that double the damage for 30X will one shot most any boss. And if you run across some elite boss like the Imperial General Tullius, just add a poison to the dagger to get you that extra 10 to 20% damage to kill them outright.

I agree with Zefram on the bound bow. If you take skills in conjuration, your bound weapons will automatically have soul trap, and do more damage. Until you improve your magicka pool enough for the bound bow to be sold in stores, enchant a bow with soul trap and do the best you can. My conjured bow seems to do more damage than my ebony or daedric bow with fire and frost enchantments. I also keep a secondary ebony bow with fiery soul trap and paralyze (or frost depending on which avatar I'm playing and how squishy they are. The slow comes in handy sometimes.).

If your going to dual wield daggers, I'd recommend putting paralyze on your secondary weapon. I like thinking I cut a vital nerve or something with my backstab. ;)

Up your sneak and get the one hand perks in the sneak tree. You can turn a simple dagger into a beast of a weapon.

Best weapon in the game: alchemy. Make one-hand potions. With my character now i use two hand weapons and make fortify two-hand potions that double the damage my weapons do. Right now my ebony broad sword does about 300 damage...so that's 600 damage with the potion. I also use elemental fury shout so i can swing my sword faster. I can chop through dragons and dragon priests like nothing. So, make fortify one-hand potions too which will boost your damage of your dagger through the roof.

Also, get rid of your bow. Get a crossbow (dawnguard) they ignore a certain percantage of armor (i can't remember how much off hand).
I use both. Dagger for up-close and personal, the bow for a Lonng Goodbye!
Find the handwraps weighing a tiny .5 and get double damage from your sneak attack WITH ANY single handed weapon! The other "Assassin Gloves" weigh 2 lbs. (yes, you get alittle
armor but an extra available lb of carry works for me when I'm sneaking not outright fighting.
Oh, with the wraps you can use a dagger in each hand for a sneak attack. I've usually gotten
30x damage from a single weapon attack wearing the wraps and dual 30x when using a
dagger in each hand. - No mods or cheats!

Bound bow, bound dagger, extra room for loot. Archery and one-handed perks apply, as do Conjuration level. Daedric quality weapons from level 1 without smithing.
I've not seen many OP's to ask and then answer themselves so concisely :D
