Will Lydia remain as my steward after Battle Of Whiterun?

I'm a Stormcloak, and Lydia is my Heartfire steward, and i was wondering if after the Battle Of Whiterun, will she remain my steward, or will she be replaced by that old guy?, Also will the quest break the main quest? (I'm at Diplomatic Immunity).

There's a chance that you could mess-up one of the thieves guild quest by doing the Civil war before finishing the Thieves guild questline, but just alittle mess-up that can be worked around through the Thieves guild.

I actually finished the civil war quest before finishing the main quest once just to see how the main is affected. Without spoiling I can tell you that it doesn't break but some things are a little different. I kinda like the way it turned out and will probably finish the civil war before the main every time I start a new game. Have fun.

I finished the civil war quest couple hundreds hours( hours playing game) ago. Just starting the theives guild. It was screwed the first time I started it with this same character. It seems to have reset and is progressing along just fine. I got my eyes crossed and hope it doesn't mess up again.

Well, i finished the Battle Of Whiterun, and now Lydia is still my steward!
But i have a bug now, for some reason, Balgruuf is still Jarl instead of that green guy from Dragonball Z, I have deleted my previous saves so i'm pretty much screwed.

Well Eorlund doesn't hang at the palace much, he's usually still at the forge or with the Companions. Is Balgruuf sitting on the throne still, or is he in the back?

Still sitting in the throne, i even informed Ulfric, but yet he remains in his throne, waiting to be painted like a french girl.

After the winning the battle of Whiterun as a Stormcloak, Lydia follows me to the main gate but will not follow me through it ont quests. Any ideas? Playing on a P.C.
