I am not certain which one you have. Solution 1 there works quite well for getting rid of these, though.
At first, I laughed because when I found this girl first, I looked at her and said aloud, "Hello, shrine maiden. This is so cool." and this effect appears on her. If you look closely, the effect seems concentrated, like a shield, and looking at it from the side makes this more apparent. I thought it was an accurate representation of the social wall pretty Asian - primarily Japanese - women tend to throw up at me when I attempt to interact with them. I mean, you'd think I'd just threatened their life with the faces they make. Her 'swirly conjuration shield' as I have come to call it does always point at me, regardless of what direction she is facing: if I move around beside or behind her, the shield is always facing me. Found it kinda funny.
However, as I said, it just recently apepared on my character... facing another of my companions. I can still see the effect firing off in first person, and the swirly conjuration shield always faces her regardless of my own facing.
At any rate... time to try out this guide for removing effects...
PS: Just a note, but killing and resurrecting her with console commands does not fix the problem. Spawning another of her simply produces a new actor with the same bug.
i fought a willow of wisp mother theing now the smoke is permanent :(
I've tried everything I can possibly think of without disabling the mod or going into the CK to, possibly, edit out the visual effect or replace it with an invisible effect. I'll try deactivating and reactivating the mod, then come back and tell you all what happened...
EDIT: Well, no such luck with deactivating that mod. The bug is still there even after deactivation. I've also tried using SKSE's command for removing orphan scripts, clearinvalidregistrations, and no effect. I'm going to head back to that thread and see if a response was posted...
