By checking around i stumbled on this fix: (If anyone has the same problem do try this it fixed it for me)
PROBLEM SOLVED!
When the vampires become hostile, run away (don't attack anyone) and leave Volkihar Castle. Once you've reached the mainland of Skyrim and the vampires are no longer pursuing you, return to Volkihar Castle and they will no longer become hostile towards you, allowing you to continue doing the vampire quest-line.
Please note, if this doesn't work for you, then try waiting 24 in-game hours before returning to Volkihar Castle.
(Also, you don't need to run out of the castle, if you want you can use a console command or spell to teleport out of the castle too, works equally as well.)
Also, this glitch/bug is NOT caused by custom races, infact it's NOT caused by ANY MODS!!! This is currently a bug in Dawnguard, people with no mods installed can/have experienced this bug.
Goodluck and have fun continuing the vampire quest-line! ^^
Would you believe me if i said Skyrim:Special Edition has this bug too? I have run into 15 people that had this bug too in the Special Edition.
Geez talk about being lazy bethesda...
And yes, if you use a custom race mod, make sure to change your race to a standard one before becoming a vampire
