How am I supposed to know if I already own a spell before I buy it?
Whenever I go to buy or pick up spells, I don't know whether I already have the spell or not. I can't tell you how many times I've bought or picked up a spell and go to read it only to find out I already know the spell. If someone could make a workshop mod that could do something to fix this, I would defienetly download it. Maybe if you put a little word that says if you own it or not?:melon:

I would do this myself if I knew a single thing about mods XD:melon:

You could open your magic menu and check your spells before you buy books, like I do. I've wasted enough gold doing that same thing that I make sure of what I'm buying now. =P

I totally would do that... but unfortunately i am really lazy

Get a mod called "Unread Books Glow" and your problem is solved. It won't help you when you're in a vendor menu but it will help you with books you find laying about in the game world. Also it will show you if you are in your inventory. It's available on the workshop and is configurable for the amount of glow you see when in the game.

Interface mod. If SkyUI is installed you can see If you already know the spell, then you will see an eye icon near the spellbook in your inventory. Same goes to skill books, letters etc.

SkyUI is a mod which makes the user interface of Skyrim more convenient. One feature is that, in all menus, books which you've already read show up with an eye symbol next to them so you don't waste time with things you don't need to re-read or re-purchase.

Yes, SkyUI is awesome. Some mods that use SkyUI let you tweak the mod settings in the "esc" menu. Where your save, settings, etc are.

If you are using Skyrim UI it has an icon next to any book you have read,

If don't want to use mods just do a fast save buy all the books. Then read them all to see which you need. Do a quick reload and buy the ones you found you don't have.

Just grab SKSE & SkyUI. It vastly improves the interface anyway.
