You can change the Steam settings so it saves a uncompressed screenshot like I have a folder on my desktop full of uncompressed skyrim screenshots where it saves them everytime I take a shot. If you did not know that Steam uploads compressed screenshots. :)?

right click the steam icon in your taskbar and select screenshots
that didnt work for me, it did bring up a steam window titled last session with nothing on it,
but after reading brads advice i used that option, made a new folder in steam folder called it screen shots and also ticked compressed as well see how that goes
On the screenshot uploader, There's the "show on disk" button. Click on it and it will show all the screenshots you've taken that you haven't deleted. At the top of the window you can see the path where the file is.
If you select the uncompressed you may end up with 2 images on your HD. One will be in the folder (small one) and another in the file level where the folder is, but the larger uncompressed version.

I can't seem to remember where that setting is. So I can't get to it again. Having a big brainfart atm. Please refresh by befuddled brain.

In my case it's: D:\Steam\userdata\666666\666\remote\66666\screenshots

Easiest way I found is to go to steam > settings > cloud - check the "open the screenshot uploader after closing a game if screenshots were taken" box. Thereafter, when you exit the game, a box will come up with your screenshots. Click the "show on disk" button and it takes you directly to the folder. Then, in Windows explorer, backup one step, so you can right-click on the folder itself and send to > desktop (create shortcut). From then on, you have a shortcut on your desktop directly to the screenshots folder, though for me it is also helpful to have the uploader open when I exit the game.
